moon sand.

today the girls played with moon sand in our sensory bin. moon sand is heavier and molds differently than regular play sand. it feels almost like a dough, but is crumbly...they enjoyed using scoops to pour and play with it. suddenly olive decided that she needed to take her socks off and put her feet in it. annabelle was interested in watching her do this, but declined the chance to join her in the foot immersion. after enjoying standing in the sand, olive asked "olive sit down?" and then she did....





meanwhile, annabelle was getting bored with the sand and discovered a couple of notebooks. she had fun pulling apart a post-it tablet and sharing various papers with olive.
