painting has been a popular activity around here lately. i was inspired by wonderment/waldorf ideas to use watercolors on wet paper with the kids. they love it. liquid watercolors go on so smoothly and quickly saturate the paper, which seems like magic to the girls. and i am now adamant that children should have adult quality art supplies, or at least as close as possible... there is such a difference in their ability and enthusiasm to create when using high pigmented color and actual watercolor paper, opposed to the washed out crayola tray paints and flimsy papers...we are frequenting the "art room" more and more, and enjoying sitting near the sunny window to paint.
