after nap today olive was feeling a little sad and missing her mama. she was crying and looking out the window for her, and was having a hard time being consoled. i suggested we do a coloring project for her mom, and then got the idea to print actual photos of her mom for her to color on. (thank goodness for facebook!) Olive was thrilled with this project and was excited every time a new photo came off the printer. Annabelle seemed to enjoy the project at first, but then the photos triggered her memory and she suddenly realized her mom wasn't with her. she began carrying around her photos and doing sad little boo-hoo-hoo cries. it was actually very sweet and amusing...after the girls colored their pictures they made a little gallery in the hallway. as always, the scotch tape was a big hit!
